2009 Run for the Roses - Downtown Raleigh

Rebecca made her running debut at this year's Run for the Roses. She started training in November and had worked up to running the entire 5K (3.1 miles.) Unfortunately she got a cold a few days before the run and did not do as well as she had hoped. Davis and David were running it for the second year. Both Davis and Rebecca worked really hard for this and we are very proud of their accomplishment!

Snow Day!

To me, S-N-O-W is a four-letter word. Davis and Rebecca had another opinion altogether. We finally got our first significant snowfall in several years. The official amount at the airport was 3.5" but is seemed like more in the yard. I had to work, but David snapped these pictures for me.

The hair do required a seven step how to and an onsite demo! Rebecca worked hard on her routines and we are so proud of her. She performed in two local parades. Davis loves the Cary parade because they throw candy. He always wears a Santa hat, not to be festive, but to have something to hold his loot!

I was in charge of Hannah Montana’s hair and make up Friday night. If you think being a teen pop star is hard, try being the pop star’s mom! Being the mom of a famous archeologist / adventurer is a lot less work.

Hannah and Indy had a great time Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood and came home with a TON of candy. Now if we can only keep Bruno (AKA Butterfinger) out of it!

Rebecca's 7th Birthday

We had a Girls' Night In for Rebecca's 7th birthday party. She had a few friends over for a luau / ocean themed event, complete with crafts, manicures and some karaoke. We ended the evening by watching a flick and eating some popcorn. Rebecca declared it her best party ever.
